Frequently Asked Questions

You Asked, We Answered

How does the custom programming work?

Q: I've never had a coach before, is that okay?

A: Of course! Whether you are a 10 year vet or brand new to lifting, our coaching is equipped to help you improve technique, learn the powerlifting movement and rules of competition, or break your current plateaus, we can help.

Q: Do you offer a free trial?

A: We do! Once you have a consultation with a coach to make sure you are a good fit, learn more about your goals, & to ask our coach questions, you'll be set up with a custom plan built just for you that will typically be 4 weeks in length. The first 4 weeks are complimentary to show you the level of service that High Tide provides.

Q: What is included in coaching?

A: Our coaching service includes:

  • Individual programming that is monitored via Google Sheets daily

  • A long-term plan (macrocycle) that will guide you towards your goal of competing in a powerlifting meet

  • Lifestyle coaching to make sure you are recovered, balancing stressors, & getting the rest you need to perform in the gym and the platform

  • Technical analysis of lifts and feedback

  • Nutrition guidance

  • Daily & weekly check-ins

  • Support from the rest of the High Tide club

Q: Do you have a contract?

A: No contract, if you feel that you are not receiving the level of service that you expect you can cancel anytime. However we encourage an open line of communication between coach and athlete, so if you are unsatisfied with anything please let us know how to improve! We do suggest to stay with the same coach & program for at least 3-6 months for best results, so that the coach can learn more about what works best for you. Rome wasn't built in a day!
